David Klein, PT, DPT
David is a practicing physical therapist at First Step Physical Therapy Brightwaters location. He graduated from Binghamton University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Neuroscience. He went on to pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Northeastern University, graduating in 2020.
While at Northeastern, David pursued clinical rotations in a variety of settings and locations, gaining experience in orthopedics and aquatic therapy in Hawaii and San Diego, neurological rehabilitation in Italy, and professional athletics rehab with the Cincinnati Reds at their spring training facility in Arizona. While in PT school, he also pursued a research experience bringing him to perform physical therapy at a children’s home in Ecuador. With these experiences, David feels equipped to help patients across the lifespan with varying abilities achieve their goals and reach their full potential through exercise.
While at Binghamton, David played water polo and served as the team’s president for 2 years. Now, David enjoys staying active outdoors by hiking, stand-up paddling, and surfing. He also enjoys experimenting in the kitchen being an amateur chef and working on fermentation projects.
